I played for twenty minutes, and then got fed up of being stopped every 20 steps to watch a cutscene, or be forced through some unskippable dialogue. I uninstalled at that point.

It's absolute trash. I ignored the naysayers to my own peril. I have no clue what I even bought, forget laziness the game hardly feels finished. The fucking jaggies and popin and the awful soundtrack. It's like it needed another year. I can't even be bothered playing it because every 5 seconds someone is talking to you. It's mentally exhausting.

It's not awful but it's not good either.
The game was obviously rushed to shit, a high concentration of soul is present at times and it's clear that the game could've been great if gamefreak wasn't so incompetent and mismanaged, but as it stands it's not worth $40, much less $60. It legitimately feels like an indie game.
Story is nonexistent so far and I've just been railroaded from gym to gym with no option to do anything else because the game conveniently places half-assed roadblocks in every path except the one you're supposed to take.

Game bored me to death, but I had fun making webms and shitposting so that kept me going... For a while. Couldn't bring myself to beat it, got 7 badges and I was done mashing A.
Game really does feel incomplete, and barren.
If anyone plans on getting it used I would say it is worth about $15 tops, but only if you buy it within a couple months. Price would drop bit further after that.
Specially because legit buyers would have to deal with 2 monthly fees if they want all the "features".
