all the people that said there were no quality animations are cherrypicking retards. Every pokemon has a unique animation for both physical and special as well as over world movements. None of which has been in previous titles.
The world may seem less complex, but it is far more immersive.

I played the game and I know. The same animations since X/Y. Overworld animations are literally the same from Sun Moon files.

Don't play dumb anon, people weren't referencing new pokemon animations in their critiques, they were referencing old ones and whether or not they would be updated (as GF hinted at), and they weren't.

The attack effect/partial animations for new moves are new, yes, but the actions the past pokemon perform to use them are the same.

Immersion. I'm fucking immersed in the Pokemon world in a way I've never been since a kid. You know a game is good when you forget you're playing a video game and hours pass before you realize it. The music, the camping, the WA, the characters, it all just fits. That's what's happening here in the best way I can explain it desu.

As much deserved shit as I give this game and GF, SwSh has soul.

The thing that works best about this game is that the narrative focuses on being a top battler and the rest of the game works around that very well. You have expansive team building, beat in the franchise, and the movesets are designed to allow for advanced strategies early. You have screen setters, set up sweepers, weather setters, all before the first gym. You can be a type specialist in this game.
The irony is if this site wasnt full of seethers this game appeals to this type of fan the most. In game battles have never had this level of strategy before.
Unironically best games in the franchise, imagining that gen 5 holds up is a laughable notion.

No one denigrates the QoL changes anon, but that doesn't add to the "strategy", it just lessens the time required to make a meta team. As stated before, dynamaxing is just a weaker Z move, the best it can be used for is setting up weather or a terrain (nothing new, and requires more effort/a wasted pokemon to et up) before the opposing pokmon buffs up and sweeps.

I am absolutely in love with SwSh. Music is top notch, I haven't seen a single drop in FPS/lag/anything, the game rubs smooth and quick and throws you right into the action.

Don't be spiteful. It's worth the money. Just get it and enjoy yourself.
