I pirated the game (when it leaked early) and it's been a comfy time so far. If you enjoyed the past gen you'll enjoy this one, it's basically Alola HD.
However, I do wish GF were less lazy. The game is pretty uninspired, despite having some really creative ideas. It needed more time in the oven, and certainly more leniency towards crazy, gamechanging design.
I'd give it a solid middle-of-the-road 5/10. Make more of an effort next time.
