>>41212548I can't tell if I like Torterra's design or not. What I like and what I dislike about it are basically the same thing: The Venusaur inspiration. I like the reminiscence of Venusaur's design, the whole, "quadruped with plants growing on its back." At the same time, I think that bringing in that concept for a starter Pokémon not even too far after gen 1 is too unoriginal for me to give it as much credit as I'd like to. If it was made later on in Pokémon's history, or wasn't a grass type starter, I would probably think it was a better 'mon.
