I'm torn. Out of principle I don't want to buy SwSh, I don't want to support Gamefreaks laziness. But at the same time I know I would enjoy it as a Pokemon fan, and it would stop shills from using the "you haven't even played it" arguement.

If you're actually serious about not wanting to support them, even just immediately, and buy it used later, look into fangames and romhacks. Drayano's NDS rom hacks are great for basically vanilla+ of their respective hack. Otherwise, Gaia and Vega are good for romhacks, especially Gaia. Fangames, just Sage. A lot of fangames are shit, and full of edge.

Just buy it. I feel the same way and us few people giving them additional sales will not matter in the long run, the game will sell as well as it would have anyways, Pokemon is dead and we should just accept it

You guys really think that hardcore fans who care about the quality of the game are in the hundred of thousands?

Pokemon fans consist almost entirely of children who will buy the game regardless of quality and shills who will buy the game regardless of quality. We are vastly outnumbered and probably make up 1% of the fanbase at best.
