>>41228008I'm gonna try to describe each track.
Silver: Starts like you just walked into the wrong neighborhood, like you're surrounded by tough guys with leather jackets looking to start something. Has some meanness to it, very serious and cold. He's ruthless and will step on anyone in his path.
Brendan/May: Starts off fun and bright, and becomes determined from there. You can tell that this person is an important battle, almost your equal, which fits because the rival is the protagonist you didn't choose. There's some determination behind it all, but it never loses that brightness. It's almost like you're in the zone at points.
Barry: Harried, frenzied, determined. This guy's your buddy, but his strong personality dominates the track.
Cheren/Bianca: Cheerful and chaotic, this is for fun. The more bubbly stuff matches Bianca while there are a lot of the determined stuff better matches Cheren. Either way, they're your childhood friends and this is essentially a safe song that doesn't imply much danger, just some friendly competition.
Hugh: B2W2 had a pretty heavy electronica vibe to the music. There's a lot going on, and the heavy focus on the pervasive percussion gives an overwhelming feeling. When it gets to the melody, it gets more dramatic and even has a bit of sass to it. He's not the kind of character to just sit back at an injustice, he's gonna fight back and has his own
Shauna/Tierno/Trevor: Friendly rival theme where you're just competing for fun to see how each other is progressing. Low stakes.
Hau: Super happy and laid back, would fit in Super Mario Sunshine. He just wants to have a fun time with his buddies in his island adventure.
Gladion: Almost like Hugh's, but almost comically dire. He has chuuni vibe with all the posing and takes everything too seriously, but he's young and not a bad guy at heart, even if he seems standoffish.
