A ton of people did not like BW upon release. People really only started to stop hating it and realizing how great they were in the last few years.

Gen5 was shat on hard for at least a good 3-4 years, and then was only liked after ~2016 and people getting sick of Kanto.

B/W is there, but BW2 sales are pretty bad so they don't even show up in that chart.
In fact, BW2 has the second lowest metascore of all mainline Pokemon games.

There is strong evidence that Sword and Shield are annihilating Let's Go in Japan, and Let's Go has sold over 11.25 million globally as of September 30, 2019. I feel like twelve million for Sword/Shield is the bare minimum for any realistic guess.

Yeah, 12 million is what I've been saying for a long time. It's not coming anywhere close to Sun and Moon numbers or even OR/AS though from early numbers even adjusting for relative the drop in physical sales.

Pretty much going to have to wait until January for anything conclusive though.
