Because the day night cycle was shit, unnecessary, hard to code and I never cared about it.

Also the sunlight now follows the STORY and these games aren't for autistic retards anymore, they are actually GAMES.

The day/night cycle doesn't start until the postgame due to the story being written to happen during specific times at different parts of it
