What is real and what is artificial to you then, anon? I've spent 13 hours in game and I'm just now getting to Route 6. In that time, I did a lot of Max Raid Battles and battling in the Wild Area and catching anything I could find, I cleared all routes prior and made sure I grabbed everything on them, and of course the dialog is something I don't mash through.

When I was a maturing teenager, and played Pearl for the first time, I was just overwhelmed at how gorgeous that lake area was.
I think it was easily 8 or 9 months before I finally set foot into sandgem, and at least another year before i walked my chill bidoof all the way to Eterna

I put in about 8 hours and I JUST beat the 2nd gym. I'm legitimately enjoying my time just catching pokemon, customizing my character, trading, and raiding. All of you guys who say this game is bare bones or only 10 hours are fucking stupid. I'm actually having fun playing this game and will probably beat it around the 25-30 hour mark and that's not including catching every single Pokemon and post game content and competing in online battles. You guys sound so fucking pathetic with all the false bullshit you're all spreading while never even touching the game.

Some people are just playing it wrong. The older games were designed to be played all the way through with a small team, because it would take way too long to level up without teamwide exp share and because you couldn't catch a lot of evolved Pokemon out in the grass. The new game is designed to be played with you catching and using many Pokemon.

it's a jrpg you're supposed to talk to everyone and take your time. why would you rush through a game you payed full price for? use the camping and wild area, back track through the region for the alt routes. it took me 28 hours to get through the main story.

Come on though. If you're not gonna catch all the Pokemon, do some breeding, shinyhunt and online battle why even buy a Pokemon game? If you just want a JRPG there are so many better ones you can play. Pokemon is at its heart a monster collection and battling game and those are still both here.

Let's go was a joke of a game and I still got 80 hours out of it. This is easily a 200 hour game minimum.

Same, we have a room set up with monitors and we all did raids in the wild area together for maybe 5hours and then went around and just explored for another 2 hours in there, there's a lot to see in there if you bother to look really.

It's nice too, because I'm trying to keep the team I'm using as underlevelled as possible for the main story, so raids have been a great way to kill time while also getting candies I could use to fill out my dex for later. I found a Gigantamax Butterfree but I didn't manage to catch it.
