How is it even possible to be THIS lazy? Even the 3DS games had FAR better animations than this.

Inteleon and RIllaboom have awesome, unique animations yet they couldn't even animate a basic kick for Cinderace? So much for it being the shillmon I guess.

Im not excusing this bullshit but this has been a thing since (at least) XY, where Bulbasaur doesn't move at all to use Vine Whip. He doesn't use his fucking vines to use Vine Whip, but they come out swinging for Tackle.

They still did a little hop on multi-hitting attacks like Rock Blast on 3DS. Nothing has changed.

Afaik he got kick animations as the default attack animation. I remember seeing him using a kick animation for fucking headbutt (yes it's as retarded as it sounds)
OP webm is probably not Cinderace's fault, it's just GF didn't bother programming double kick to use attack animations for some reason

Me too. It really provides a fantastic way to make the games look like total shit.

They could make all the other moves look like the best animation ever but so long as that Double Kick hop is still in that'll be the one that gets spread around.

Imagine being the guy that worked on giving Cinderace a cool kick animation and then you find out the developers didn't even use it for Double Kick and everyone thinks that Cinderace doesn't even have one because Double Kick is the move that went viral.

from what I played and tested with 3 moves (double kick, fury swipes, beat up) all moves that have more than one hit in the same turn are animated like that, which is a shame really. They could just use a sped up version of the default attack

Would get stale faster and make the move take longer than it already does.

Not trying to defend this rushed garbage but I tend to turn animations off anyway.

They did, they just dont use it for Double Kick for some reason. Tackle uses a kicking animation, for example.

You're right, but the post is still valid. It seems manipulative, especially since swsh has loads of legitimate issues besides double kick continuing to be a hop after two decades.

They are never gonna give hundreds of Pokemon unique attack animations for generic moves. It only makes sense to do it for signature moves.
