As for Eternatus?
Its design doesn't fit at all with core Pokemon designs, and looks like it'd be the king of the UBs if it was introduced last gen. So I mean it works as long as emphasis is pot on how it's a foreign thing that's distinctly not a Pokemon like the UBs kind of are.
At least Eternatus isn't the giant snowflake from Gates.
