Honest question to those defending GameFreak, why are you doing it? Is it because you feel like it's a personal attack on you as a person? Why not just buy the games with not retaliate to the hatred towards GameFreak? You do realize what this will do, don't you?
If GameFreak knows that a large part of their consumer base is not happy with their product then they will do all they can next time around to bring them back in by making the game a better experience. By defending GameFreak, arguing with people who criticize the game and complain about all the flaws, you're preventing the next games in the series from becoming even better than what you currently think of Sword and Shield right now. Don't you get it?
The hatred will eventually lead to a much greater experience than the one you claim to be having now, defending all of this as though people are out to get you won't bring people back and the games will be nowhere near as good. I say this having completed Sword already and I found that Sun was 3x more enjoyable, the newest titles are definitely not better than than the previous.
If you got to choose, wouldn't you prefer a game that's 10x better than Sword and Shield with real effort put in to try and pull back people who started to hate the games instead of 1.5x the effort knowing that if they do bare minimum people will still buy it?
