I know this isn't a good thread to get responses to this on, but for those of you who don't like Appletun, why? I'm not interested in trying to convince you that you're wrong, I just genuinely don't see what's offensive about this design, and I want to understand why it's failing to land with some people.

sums up most of the shit for this gen, theres a couple really nice designed, but it suffers from the same thing Gen5 does, theres a lot of garbage drowning out the gems

I think it's a bit too on the nose. I still like it, but there's absolutely no subtlety in its design, which goes for a lot of designs this generation. It doesn't feel very clever or creative, just mashing an apple pie and a dragon together.

I really like Appletun, and Flapple is fine. But I just can't fucking deal with Applin. Something about it encapsulates all the I hate about lazy pokemon design.

I find it interesting to play with the worm in a apple idea by changing the worm to wyrm which is a type dragon.

I do think their designs could be a bit more interesting tho, not a fan of their weird eyes and colors could have been nicer.
