Why is the story so bad? What happened? Sun and Moons story was great how did the same people who made that game make this one?

because it was centered around a shit character that does nothing at all adds nothing to the story and was only this forced for the sale of having a waifu to distract you while fucking nothing aside from team skull fucking around happens
