too much work, you'll get another region and another set of gyms and another league and you'll LIKE it!
If we're changing setting though I'd prefer some kind of frontier setting, maybe split between a more developed half that follows the traditional routes between towns structure, and a less developed part on the edge with small settlements in a huge dangerous wild area.
