I really dig the shadow pokemon mechanic since it encourages you to seek out trainer battles and work with what's available instead of rushing to catch your favorites. Also you can save anywhere which was my only complaint with Colosseum

One of my all-time favorites. Probably beat it 6-8 times in all. I got this game when it first came out and being the edgy pre-teen I was I liked that Shadow Pokemon had an actual moveset and not just "muh Shadow Rush". I liked that Shadow could actually have SOME strategic value.

Playing it now for the first time, and honestly I like it. Having a tiny bit of regret evolving Eevee into Vaporeon, but I think I can manage.

I actually think I'm gonna keep my Eevee unevolved. When I transfer it to Gen 4, I may or may not evovle it into Leafeon, but I'm leaning towards no.
