Pokemon regions shouldn't have sole inspiration from a real life country. It only makes the game feel touristy and artificial, I mean, "Tapu-Koko"?
The first four gen were fine and gen five is where it took a turn for the worse. Just a disclaimer, I'm not saying that there can't be little bits of real life cultures inspired in the game but make a new and authentic region and not:
France + Pokémon = Kalos
