as the themes you hear the most the wild and trainer battles are not that bad, especially compared to the more recent ones in USUM. It actually seems like the dulled the sounds a little as to not make them nauseating.

Pretty hit-or-miss. Some themes are awesome, others sound unmemorable and really meh. Averaged out, I’d say probably the most mediocre music in a mainline game.

Gen 7 unironically has my favorite soundtrack in the series and I hate the game otherwise. Some great battle themes and all of the aether tracks are top tier. Great town themes, especially might ones, and fucking Royal Avenue might be the catchiest song in a pokemon game

Do far really hit or miss. Some of the battle themes are just grating, genuinely no clue what they were thinking. But I've liked a lot of the town themes so far. The clothing shop theme in the first town is my favorite track

None of these songs stand out or are memorable in any way. They aren't bad, they're just forgettable. Bede's theme is probably the best song, but Gladion's is just better. The gym song and legendary doggo song are both ruined by chanting and howling. Rose's song has nothing on Ghetsis's. Toby's song is incredibly overrated by brain short circuiting fanboys.

A lot of the music felt like they had too much going on, but I sorta liked how Bede's turned out.

I loved Marnie's theme but I hate the cheering.
The first part of the Gym Leader theme is fucking amazing, then it becomes garbage.
I like Bede's theme.
Wild Battle is good.
Battle Tower is good but it gets old really fast when you hear it over and over.

That's all I can remember.

Marnies theme, Bedes theme, Piers’ theme, wild battle theme, especially the wild area themes (especially especially the one with bagpipe kino) are all based
Leon’s theme is pretty good, not nearly as intense as a champions should be but it isn’t as tonally abysmal as the SM title defense theme (no I don’t give a shit about the “meaning” I want it to pump me up for the hardest boss in the game)

All the new legendary music is fucking awful

And I don’t mind the chanting in the stadium songs, then again I’m not a faggot and I go to hockey games a lot so I’m actually familiar with the ambiance.

honestly i'm not really a fan of pokemon music, i dislike most electronic heavy tracks in the game so i end up listening to other stuff while playing.
I just feel like most songs just doesn't feel the mood or the world of the game (cf Wedgehurst theme)
