yes, those games also still exist.
But those games have long since merged with the main line, to the point that we now get them effectively TWO YEARS AFTER the game came out.
They are no longer called remakes but "version 2s" or whatever, but who cares.
We have over half a thousand pokemon now. Shitters still gobble them up. Your kitchen sink mentality that heaping more shit reflects exactly what GF is dishing out. I don't want to shit on gen2,3,4 whatever pokemon per se, but I can guarantee you that everyone here will at some point say "enough". And according you your mentality, they will forever be forced to put pokemon aside if they don't want a game from some gen onwards. But if you think it's their problem, fine.
However, I don't see LGPE as a remake. I see it as more of an alternate universe gen I game. Essentially, a game that answers a "what if" question nobody asked.
And honestly? Looking at SwSh I would say LPGE's direction is more interesting than this dead end of competetive meta bullshit and smogon faggotry we got.
Making the pokemon battles this significant was a mistake. Continuing to push multiplayer was a mistake. Heaping features was a mistake.
