Did any other ancientfags grow up reading Beckett Pokemon Collector?

Also, how the hell was it legal to publish this without Nintendo or Game Freak's involvement?

I’m also curious, too. I remember Beckett revealed gen 2 Pokemon, but used an in-house artist to render them (some of them were hilarious), which Pojo did as well. I’m guessing this was to avoid a lawsuit.

I had an unofficial dex book too. It wasn't too wild but it said stuff like hitmonchan evolved into hitmonlee and farfetched was the first form of doduo/dodrio

Holy shit YES! I read this shit religiously until they shifted to Yu-Gi-Oh focus.

Does anybody have that one cover of theirs were it was like “realistic” Mew on the front and armor Mewtwo in the same style on the back? That one always sticks out in my mind. I think there were a few covers with that semi realistic style and the Detective Pikachu movie made me think of them.
