For damn near everyone to not buy it. Seriously, Game Freak and TPC trying to make sure people actually use the app and make monthly payments instead of just using it once and being done until next gen is part of why the cuts happened.

All they have to do is make it Pokemon Stadium 3 or what have you and they'll be golden. Of course doing something like that would take actual fucking effort, forethought, and professional pride. So yeah, that's not going to fucking happen.

They said it'll have trading, so it'll probably have a neutered GTS. Which will suck if it doesn't also have some way to breed pokemon: you can only breed all of the pre-gen 8 pokemon in sun/moon, then transfer them to bank, THEN transfer them to home, THEN you can finally fill that GTS trade. Fuck's sake.

What we SHOULD get is an enhanced GTS, where you can specify even more things, like HA, nature, or ball type. Ideally, you could have a bounty system where you could specify a bunch of parameters and put up 1-5 pokemon for the bounty-filler to choose from. It's crazy hard to get HA's from anyone now over GTS.

pretty much. I paid for it once and then never again. I don't transfer my Pokemon forward anyway. it's stupid. I'd much rather start from scratch. bank was even more useless once every one hacked their 3ds and got PKSM.

If you can put it in the bank then you can send it to the "Home" service from there. It's a one way trip though, so if you're planning on making the jump make damn sure that you're willing to trap them there.

Me personally I haven't played a mainline game since Diamond and Pearl so I'm pretty much fine with that. Any pokemon I have right now I've got from Go, and it's not like you can do much with the poor fuckers there either.
