I have an original Pro Controller, is it normal that my Switch won't turn on while I'm pressing the Home button on my Pro controller?

Tried everything from tapping the home button like a madman and holding it down as long as it can, including the maintenance mode but no dice.

Is my Pro controller fucked? I find it silly that I have to manually turn on my Switch from the console itself and then my Pro Controller works perfectly.

Do you plug it into your PC sometimes? If I've plugged mine in, and Steams running with controller support, it seems like the pro controller loses sync with the Switch, so I have to hook it up via cable to the Switch dock itself to get it back.

Not sure then sorry, a few times I've had to press the home button or sometimes a combo of face button plus home to get it to sync up but it usually does in the end.

You can get gmax butterfree early-mid game. Gmax grimmsnarl is a 5 star I think which is pretty much relegated to end game cus you need badges/high level Pokémon to challenge it. No information points to gmax being passed down through breeding unless we have yet to discover a hold item which does it.

EVs are the same, it's just the vitamins were limited use to 10 per stat before, now you can use as many as you want.

What does it mean when during battle the game displays messages like "Pokemon is dreaming about camping" or "Pokemon is worried about doing poorly", I thought it was related to camping but it still displays it.

Also where can I get flamethrower? Or a good fire TM that doesn't have 5% accuracy?

Every thick beam I’ve seen has a piss aura Pokémon in it. Meaning whatever piss aura Pokémon are capable of getting, that’s what the bright raid mons get. Last I checked that means chance for egg moves and perfect IVs.

The rest of the Pokémon do not have all of their information coded into the game (movepools, catchrates, whatever) so it would be a pretty arduous task even not including porting models, I think.

It's like maybe 30 minutes if your rush it? IIRC it unlocks after route 2, maybe earlier.
But you could just catch a route 1 pokemon instead.

Another method: In Sword, there's a guy in that town (Stow-on-side) that will trade you a Hatenna for a Maractus, which can be caught on route 06 just before. He's on a rooftop so you have to explore a bit to find him.
In Shield he gives you an Impidimp instead.
