as nostalgia kicks in it might end up being reevaluated, but i doubt it will ever join the olympus of the (very few) games in the series that actually feel complete on every aspect (aka hgss, platinum)

These ones. They will probably be remembered as the games were GF for the last time tried to construct a coherent plot to tell and with some neat QoL improvements. But this generations was objectively the beginning of the end of the franchise with many unfinished places, a regression in online functionalities and the Hau-Lillie-Rotom-Syndrome taking place here for the first time.
I'm starting to think that SM weren't that bad after all, as we can now see the true extent of the idiocy at GF

As crap. The only true and memorable legends are the gen 4 and below. The rest was out of their ass. Solgaleo is stupid design and rip off from groudon lore. Lunala on the other hand it's another batshit story. The moon pokemon is cresselia. The older ones had ties to the lore. The new gens are farts. Only gen 5 managed to balance it with the meteorite thing and not fuck it.

Do you need special pictures and colours to get it? The new pokemon games are missing tons of standars. We have 2020 and they dare to show off open world with missing fuckin depth. Nerf the fuck off the game world mechanics. Exploration on the new games is 0. The past games are not nostalgic they was better made games. They had stuff to do and go in the world's. The new have beter graphics but world' is linear. And instead focus on making the world thrive they fuckin polish it over and over throwing a z move shit and other stupid gimmicks. Beyond that they rushed to release gens nobody asked them. They executed them poorly and they having retards defending them.
