People who think these games are bad remind me a lot of people who insisted that gens four and five were bad compared to gen 1.

The wild area is fun, the story as meh but storylines have been shit past gen 4. I feel like they wanted to shoot for the pokemon go crowd.

Still, I'm enjoying it, boycott chads are missing out, just think it's on a 3ds and it's nice

What the fuck are you talking about? XY got an okay reception. We just hated the rivals and lack of postgame. They still had all the Pokemon, the GTS, all the moves, the best online system in Pokemon's history, megas, friend safari, hordes, and Pokeradar.

What a fucking shitshow. Pirated it and already removed it from my SD. Won't even bother waiting for cool romhacks like blaze black/volt white.

I'd put it above gen 7 if there were either less cutscenes or if the story wasn't absolute bottom of the barrel.

It’s a Pokemon game, as long as it has its core mechanics it’ll be fun.
But People aren’t pissed because the game isn’t fun retard, people are pissed because of all the glaring technical issues, the lack of quality animations and the fact that these game have near to no polish in them.
And let me remind you because you obviously forgot, the reason that the reason the National dex isn’t in is because gamefreak promised to improve on all of these things in return and they clearly have done jack shit in terms of a giant leap forward that’s should be expected from a switch game.

Gen 8 is OBJECTIVELY bad though. Gen 4 and 5 weren't unfinished nor buggy. Plenty of playtime and sidetasks to do. Sword and shield is way too linear, piss easy, and holds your hand the entire game
This game tricks you like sun and moon. It seems good the first half but once you reach the second half it just fucking nosedives in quality.
Plus they lied with a whole bunch of shit about the game.
