I only have four active right now, and completing them didn't make any more spawn. So what you're saying is it's just completely random and you might have to wait days to get anything other than a few shitmons (unless you grind for watts which is also time consuming).

Did you beat the main story? The dens change from 50watts to 200w postgame, and glowing spots give 2000 so farming watts is really easy.
