Realistically, how good WOULD he have been had he gotten Linoone's best features (E-Speed, Belly Drum) with Sucker Punch to top it off? And speaking of moves, why in the everliving fuck did they make shitty-ass old Mega Punch and Mega Kick TMs? They aren't even buffed.

Sucker punch on its own would have given it a cheap niche as a knockoff bisharp. Espeed would have given it that but better, I dont think belly drum would make much of a difference either way given it doesnt have gluttony like hoenn linoone, which is largely what made that very good.

Not really. +1 with no item (unless you're an absolute madman that doesn't run flame orb) isn't that lethal. On the flipside, defiant gives a +2 and you have your item on top of that. It turns defog into a liability, like bisharp. If it had espeed it'd do it somewhat better to boot given sucker punch is easily played around where espeed is not.
