It's never gonna have skin, it's proportions are dumpy and non threatening with skin and it's hands and feet aren't constructed in a way that can have actual fleshy anatomy. If we see it with skin ever I think it'll be in combination with necrozma. The weird skinny arms and legs and the bizarre unhandlike hand bones, and the jointed head spikes, will make up the wings, the spine and ribs are the spine and ribs obviously, necrozma has the skull, the legs are rexlike arms and the arms are rexlike legs.

It looks fucking great though. It really nails the theming of being from outer space, where normal Earth anatomy doesn't apply. Eternatus, Nihilego and Xirkutree are my favourite alien Pokémon.

It's a skeletal dragon, pretty easy to understand.
I just wish they made it out of actual bones instead of just a bunch of polygons, it just makes it look like a big ugly cluttered robot. It's like an Ultra Beast but pretty much every Ultra Beast looked better than this at least out of originality.

Well let's see: Eternatus is supposed to a creature form beyond the stars whose mere existence altered the weather and the life forms on Galar.
In other words this is literally Pokemon Lovecraft Edition. So what we are looking at doesn't look like a Pokemon because its not supposed too. It is meant to look out of place, meant to look bizarre and meant to look like it shouldn't exist in our reality.

Right because the plot of SwSh is its saving grace. Revolution is just menus and battles sure but the biggest selling point of these games has to do with the size of Pokemon. Stop acting like it would have been difficult to scale models correctly.

No, because as I said in my own comment the game is just menus and battles. You realise during the design process they weren't sat around a table arguing whether they could keep an overworld or properly scaled Pokemon, right? The two things aren't mutually exclusive.
