Can you imagine how much stronger Golisopod would be without having emergency exit? Like what if he had another skill like swift swim or something else that wouldn't force him offstage? Golisopod would be crazy good.

Except they're not comparable in the slightest. Slaking has a BST of 670, insane stats in general, and a great movepool. Archeops has a BST of 567, great mixed sweeping stats, and a great movepool.

Golisopod is a Bug-type Gyarados, whose best boosting move is Swords Dance. It wouldn't snap the game in half if it didn't have Emergency Exit like Slaking or Archeops would. The only reason it has Emergency Exit is because GameFreak opted for flavor, rather than function.
