So... what do we do now? With Sword and Shield being so bad in pretty much all aspects and them not worth even playing for free, do we just wait for Ultra Sword and Ultra Shield and hope for the best?

Do we replay old games?

games seem fun enough to buy if they go on sale for like $20, dont think they're that terrible, just painfully mediocre.

I can recommend running a nuzlocke of one of the older games, I bet the GC games also have some variation of the challenge

I cannot for the life of me get into Yokai Watch or Digimon because most of the monster designs look either ugly or overdesigned.

Try to focus less on the monsters and more on the other components. The monsters are important but not all of the game, you’re bound to find a group that you like the look of. I was sceptical of both at first and fell in love with YW, especially for its soul.
