>>41283148The foundation for the game to be really good is there, they need to add a lot more stuff to the main story. I'd mostly leave the first half of the game(up to gym 3) alone, and they should focus on padding out the second half of the game.
Changes to the second half I'd like to have seen:
Turn Glimwood tangle into a massive dungeon, right now it's just too short.
Lengthen route 7 and add a story segment to it of some sort, perhaps Team Yell takes over a farm or something and you have to rescue it.
Have an underwater dungeon in route 9, Macro Cosmos grunts crawling all over.
Spikemuth should have been more like Po town in Sun and Moon.
Route 9 tunnel should have been a brand new route.
Add an icy victory road at the end of route 10, leading into Wyndon.
Rose's tower should have been turned into a Silph Co. style dungeon.
Think this would have made the second half feel less rushed.
I'd also like to have seen the wild area incorporated more into the story. Right now, it's only mandatory to travel through twice, and you can run through it in 5 minutes if you want. I think perhaps being forced to travel through the wild area in a set path, to introduce you to all the sub-areas, while having many mor NPC trainers to battle in addition to whatever is there currently, would make it better.
The first time you travel through the wild area, there could have been some sort of dynamax pokemon gone wild who has destroyed many of the bridge crossings available. You have to explore in the wild area and help restore these crossings, enabling you to go to motostoke, and it can culminate in a raid battle with that dangerous pokemon.
The second time, Macro Cosmos could be searching for Wishing Stones and you have to force yourself through them to make it to Hammerlocke. Could have a big admin battle at the end.
This is in addition to the obvious stuff like postgame improvements and adding the full dex.
