Flannery's grandpa was stated to have been part of the elite four, while Kabu has so far been stuck as a gym leader in galar for the past 30 yrs or so. Swsh would have to take place sometime before rse for Kabu to go back home and become part of the elite four, making it one of the earliest games in the timeline (ignoring the fact that type null is in the game). And this isn't even considering when he'd have his kids/grandkids and why he would leave them to stay in galar.
