I can honestly say, yes. Overall it's better than Sun and Moon at least, which while I liked the story better in SM, it was just a slog that I still haven't finished
SWSH is just an average Pokemon game, the best of the 3D era sure, but nowhere near as great as HGSS or B2W2, not even in the same atmosphere.
Again, the retards chimping out are mad for all the wrong reasons. Even if the Nat Dex was still in the game it wouldn't have fixed anything, hell it probably would've made it worse
The issue isn't that GF aren't trying, I think they're actually incapable of making the game we want, and I don't mean that in a "oh poor indie studio" kind of way, but the "they're actually too stupid to make it work" kind of way which I feel is 'better' in a manner of speaking, but it won't make the games any better
GF genuinely needs another studio to help them out, someone like a KT or Bandai or something. Pokemon is stuck in the same place Mario was 9 years ago post Galaxy, with the constant "New Super Mario Bros" being functional but bland and safe. That's the best way to describe SWSH, they aren't bad games, but they're bland and far too simple for their own good.
