>>41297827>So farThat's kind of the thing. The issue comes from save corruptions. The more people play, the more saves they make and the better your odds of bricking shit. It's sort of like a shiny, only instead of a different colored sprite, you get corrupted data that fucks hardware.
"How is that like a shiny?" you ask. Simple. Some people encounter shinies early, others won't see one till their second or third play throughs, some may never run into one. However, everyone has the same odds.
Without a patch (and GF doesn't patch shit), this will be an ongoing issue, a malignant threat picking off a few players each month. It won't be a big issue before Christmas, but come February or March, especially after all those holliday kiddies start bricking their $300 toys, the issue is going to get big.
The scary thing for Nintendo and GF is that hardware issues like these are what sour reputations for normies. Cut pokemon, dumb things down, ignore post-game, none of the mass consumers will bat an eye. Break shit and cost the consumer money? That's when moms and dads start associating enough negativity with a product to avoid it in the future. "You don't need the new pokemans, the last one broke your console."
