Come one, we all know the current trend for the fire starters is to not actually reference the zodiac, but make shit vague enough for people to argue over it. We should know that it's going to be a wildebeest, a llama, a skink, and a bison.

As someone who isn't deeply tied to it but does believe that this is legitimately a part of their design philosophy, yeah. If I saw any of them repeated OR saw a new Fire starter that matched with the disputed ones (Rat/Dog) more closely than our current examples, I'd trash the theory.

I also don't believe that they had this theming in mind until the end of Gen III at the earliest.

I'm onto the theory that EXCLUDING Typhlosion and Delphox, the others are following the Zodiac. The only time the Typhlosion line is based on hedgehogs is Cyndaquil, and the rest are the mustelids. If anything. We'll get the dog and rat fire starters in the future.
