He gets priority moves, his attack and defense are really decent, and his ability can be useful if you use it correctly. He's mainly an opener Pokemon, meant for dealing as much damage as he can before his ability makes him peace out.

His special attack is base 80, which is fine when your main STAB is both Psychic/Bug Buzz

There are better Dark types, but Pangoro is a fine Poke. Hits hard, but is slow. Unfortunately, you don't get the TM for Drain Punch until the very end so Iron Fist is basically a useless ability for most of the game.
