it is shit. they cut the day night cycle, pokemon sprite animations, the ability to bring previous gen pokemon over, locked the full pokedex behind a massive amount of other games and half of the routes are water routes.

Apparently that's not on them. It's all about hardware compatibility. It sucks but there seems to have been no solution to that.

This would be a bigger problem if they didn't make shinies so pathetically trivial to find that a failed shiny means basically nothing
