Really it just shows you what awful people the shills are. As long as the games are still fun for them they don't care about anyone else's enjoyment. They'd lose absolutely nothing from the games improving and becoming more enjoyable for other people, but they still actively fight against it purely out of spite. Their outlook is incredibly selfish.

Game development is their livelihood.
It's not fair that their job security be put in danger if they don't satisfy the many customers who decide to buy the game just to criticize it.
How would you like it if someone could come to your place of work, make a judgement on you and determine you had to improve in some specific way or else lost your job?
No other industry has that kind of toxic demand structure, it's not fair to expect it from video game developers.

But I’ve never been against adding more to the game and I don’t think I’ve seen anyone say they’re against adding more gameplay. Unless you think just buying and playing the game is actively fighting against improving the game in which case you are brain damaged

Game Development is a competitive field, this is the way it's worked for ages and just shows you don't have much exposure to the actual games industry.
If someone doesn't perform adequately, be it a single developer or the entire studio, they can absolutely lose their job. It's happened to thousands of developers and studios throughout the last three decades and it'll keep happening so long as the industry at large stays the way it is.

Not selfish at all. Look at Assassin’s Creed. They pumped out shitty game after shitty game till they started failing then had to change everything and fix it, bring new shit to the table, etc.

Some times, baptism by fire is the way to fix shit. But because of retards that bought it and fellow /vp/ers that couldn’t keep away, SwSh succeeded and now there’s no hope for the games.
