In 2020 or 2021, support for Bank will end and players will have to choose between either transferring them to Home, or to have them be wiped.
When they do transfer to Home, as there will never be a game that features all Pokémon again, players will be stuck paying subscriptions for Home every year if they want to maintain posession of all their Pokémon.
>>41304974You're not wrong of course, but it's a scummy move to present a subscription programme like Bank as a way to keep using your Pokémon across generations and then after only a single console generation saying "well fuck you, pay for our new service or watch them die". They're just data but people who pay to store that data clearly have some investment in it.
