I liked it during the story until I used the candies it gave me on my team and immediately fucking overleveled everything forever. Why the flying fuck is this shit available before the postgame if trying it makes the entire game an absolute joke?

They're novel but the fact that NPCs make soloing 5-Stars practically impossible is really annoying since it's a crapshoot if people will even join anything even if you create a public raid.

Because they fucking sent me there before I even got to the first gym with no explanation or warning. I thought I was SUPPOSED to do some raids and use the candies, the game put them RIGHT in front of me for fucks sake and the game had just fucking started.

I did, as soon as I could. They're sometimes decent challenge (when I'm alone) but I find the easy ones to be frustrating. Also kind of hate the rewards being exp candy, makes training Pokemon early.on too easy

Rate for hidden abilities is way too low. It's cool that I'm actually rewarded some decent stuff for completing one, but farming for a specific hidden ability mon is extremely frustrating, and you're at the mercy of RNG more than ever.

Since I have only my brother to do the raids with since I refuse to get Nintendo Online, so far I hate the five star raids since the AI are either only helpful with Helping Hand boosts, somehow managing to avoid death and breaking the shield, or accelerating the loss condition (special thanks to solrock and that magikarp for dying after doing nothing)
For the story mode it lets you get hilariously over leveled, as for post game the gigamax forms are nice to look forward to. That's about it.

Some are fun, I imagine it's better with you don't use the AI. However, it can get downright frustrating at other times.
>get stuck on a difficult 5 star because AI is braindead and dies too quickly so raids don't refresh
>mons are either stuff you already have or stuff that you really want but will break out of the ball you throw
>even if your mon could one shot the raid battle you still have to wait for the fucking shields to break

Makes me sad that I put in the effort to make a Darmanitan all set up to Ice Punch raids to death, but he's forced to do each phase of the fight

Trying to do the raids with the NPCs is terrible, but I can't get more than one person to join up when doing it with randoms online. How am I supposed to consistently do these raids when the game gives me NPCs that use Magikarp and Wobbufett?

It's a flat 1 ability = 1 shield break, with dynamax abilities being 2 shield breaks. I saw the second attack of double kick do damage to the boss and not the shield though, not sure if thats the same for all multi-hits

The real problem is that since the dens aren't numbered in game (only in the code) and don't appear on the map, it hinders the ability for players to track what will spawn where.

I gave both a try. Dynamax is a trash mechanic and is still boring as fuck to use. Strange enough gigantmax moves seem to be the weaker of the two gimmicks.

Raids aren’t bad and can even be enjoyable if you manage to get some extra players instead of just stock NPCs. Problem is a lot of the nodes are always taken up by useless garbage so nobody wants to do them or even check outside of a select few. Seriously nobody wants a shiinotic raid
