Removal of said features count as casualization.
Ridemons mean there's no need to juggle HMs and removing triples mean there is one less battle style

I don't agree with your definition of casualization but ok whatever.
And HM was always a bad mechanic game design wise, I don't why you would ever defend it outside of "we needed to do that bullshit before so it's bad that we don't have to do it anymore", pretty much everyone was praising their removal outside of the fact that they wanted to also ride their own Pokemon.
