Yeah, this place was a disappointment to me. The gym challenge and leader battle as well. The gym leaders dynamaxing on their last Pokemon made things feel more exciting for me. I believe this is the first Dark type gym as well which makes it even worse.

Spikemuth in general might be disappointing but Piers is based as fuck. He doesn't need a special gimmick to kick your ass and comes with his own exclusive battle theme.
