It seems like Gamefreak has put more thought on the HUMANS than on the Pokemon. Hell, some humans look more like Pokemon that some Pokemon.

It looks like Gamefreak don't want to work with Pokemon anymore.

It’s kinda apparent GF want to do something different. They probably wanted to do more traditional rpgs since BW, but Pokémon keeps them afloat, so they have no choice but to keep going with it. It’s also made more clear with the overall games no seeing major change in the system since Gen 4, aside from maybe fairy.

Gen VIII was when I realized what I hated about neu Pokemon designs: starting with Gen VI, the designs went downhill when GameFreak started making humanoid mons themed after human professions.

i'm pretty sure both the pokemon and human character designers intentionally create characters for the porn at this point

marnie's, nessa, etc's entire existence is for porn. nobody created inteleon and thought "haha i can't wait to see all the innocent fan art they create of it"
