Still dynamically allocated, but as more of an overflow for the processor's caches, and a much more accepted practice (OSX and windows do this too in the form of a page file) than using flash storage as RAM

Some people have said that for whatever reason (spaghet-tier code I guess) the digital version uses the SD card instead of the eMMC (NAND-based memory & controller responsible for booting the switch, everyone calls it the NAND)
I haven't seen any proof of that though, and either way the game is using flash storage (NAND, NOR, or otherwise) as virtual RAM, which is a big no-no
>>41323830The NAND is the switch's eMMC memory afaik, meant to act as a boot system, so I seriously doubt it has any sort of wear leveling features since it was never intended to act as general-use memory, let alone as RAM
