I need help because I don't think so good.

I have a single female Pokemon and I don't like the ball it's in. How does one go about breeding it out of the ball it's in and giving it another one? In this case, the pokemon I want is exclusive to the other version I don't have so I can't just go catch a new one in a new ball from the start.

I can't figure out how to do this because no matter what I do the ball AND the species are the same as the mom either way aren't they? So even if I get a male of the species I want and breed it with another species with a ball I want more, I can't get back to a female in that ball of the first species.

Please speak to me like I am a child so I can understand how to do this right. Thank you.
