>>41330946I have to agree, after a while the soundtrack really grew on me. The overworld themes always sounded good to me, and although I disliked the battle themes at first I eventually began to enjoy them. Not sure I really like this soundtrack more than any other generation's besides 6, but I think it's pretty good and people are too harsh on it.
Some stuff is too repetitive, though. The northern wild area's theme is used for half of the routes in the game, and although the dynamic gym leader music is a neat idea, the song itself gets kind of grating after some time, especially once the chanting kicks in.
