The prevailing theory was the Wild Area, but then it's unknown if it's just the Wild Area, or if it's the Wild Area while you're online, or if it's the entire game and you're online
Or, fuck it, the entire game
Measures were suggested like properly formatting your microSD card, turn autosaves off, and to play offline, but the real safest method is to just not play the damn game
And on top of that, I also have no idea how badly it affects your Switch's lifespan, because all of the posts suggest that the game burns through the NAND so horribly that what would last normally 20+ years would now just kill the system completely
This idea is pretty fucking scary, honestly, and I feel like some people are just using this as an opportunity to mock the people who bought the game
The game has tons of issues for sure, and if it wasn't for this then it'd just be a matter of them going "have fun with your mediocre product your fucks"
And now it's just "have fun with your fucking ticking time bomb, dumbass"
Basically if you play it, you're fucked. The devil's in the details.
