I'm trying to wrap my head around these 9/10 and 10/10 reviews but I just can't understand them.

that's because the only reason pokemom games weren't absolute dogshit was because it was the only game of the monster catching genre that kept all the monsters you could catch and battle with. Remove that and all the other many flaws become a hell of a lot evidently. This. Pokemon is mediocre without "gotta catch them all". There are many better games out there. If GameFreak removes the collectionist aspect from the game, people will simply stop treating Pokemon with kiddy gloves and start giving it fair reviews like they would with any other games. Literally a citation is needed. This is Sonic 06 level. You can’t even play the game, just run for a few steps til some NPCs come find you. And if it weren’t for the NPCs, you could bolt through this game in an hour. That’s all there is to this game, that’s why the NPCs are there, to pad out this otherwise contentless game. Not “decent” by any means. SM as far as I was concerned was the death of the franchise but this is the same thing but even worse.

Biggest problem is Americans don't understand the 0-10 system.

They think 0-4 is extreme because in school the minimum grade is F whether you failed with 0% or with 40%

In Europe you actually get a real score. You get 0, 1, 2, 3 if you fail, not just a 5 minimum no matter what.
