So I've been autistically obsessing over Pokémon animations recently, and I've come to the conclusion that gen 5 was peak aesthetic for the series. The pixelated sprites were more expressive than the 3D models. Had they improved the sprites like pic related it would've looked way better than what we have now. They could make the 3D models much better if they actually animated them right like they did in Colosseum.

Or they could've ditched the sprites and made the games look damn near indistinguishable from the anime like the South Park games.
