I don't have a lot of experience with pokemon, can you guys help me out? I have ended up choosing poison. This is what my team is looking like.

Toxapex/G-Weezing/Toxtricity/Toxicroak/Salazzle/Gengar

The idea is Toxapex&G-Weezing work together with Neutralizing Gas/Regenerator to stall and mess with set up sweepers. Then I switch into one of the other as necessary to clean up.

The current thing that I am heavily considering is switching out Neutralizing Gas for Levitate to defend against ground and also switching out either Salazzle or Toxicroak for Drapion. I really want to keep G-Weezing and Toxtricity in since they're the new boys.

Levitate would probably be wise. You may also want a poison type that at least neutral defensively to psychic. I forget if any survived the cut though.

That would be Drapion, he is Dark/Poison. Yeah I really should bring him along rather than Salazzle and have Salazzle's role as SpA cleanup change over to Gengar instead.

I do want something to fuck with set up sweepers and am not sure what my gameplan with them is otherwize except for Haze toxapex. I could change Weezing to Levitate and have him also be running Haze or maybe give up on Weezing surviving and have him run Explosion to remove the issue entirely.

You should also be able to run clear smog on Weezing or another Mon. A part of me wants me to tell you to run trick with Black Sludge to help cripple other Mons upon switch. Not sure if you'd want to give up that slot on your Gengar specifically for that set, but, may be something worth considering.

Updated and moved things around. I am considering removing Rest from G-Weezing and changing the Chesto to Focus Sash. The Rest would become an Explosion so if he switches in he can just remove a threat even if it's on a sweeper who has already set up.

why run specs on gengar? it has access to nasty plot this gen, one of the best boosting moves in game- wouldn't it be best to replace either energy ball or substitute with it?

He was supposed to be running Focus Blast instead of substitute, but you're probably right. I can run him with Black Sludge and Nasty Plot. I was running Energy Ball for coverage.

Specs and substitute is generally a poor idea. I say four attacks if Specs or Trick. If not replace it with something else or go back to black sludge.

As for Chesto to Focus Sash I don't think that would work very well unless you never plan on using it to tank a hit. It would actually be better on Gengar or a fragile Mon to get in a crucial attack.
Also consider using a fairy move or thunderbolt on Gengar or something. It gets dazzling gleam if you just want coverage for dragons and Thunderbolt is a great coverage move over waters. If you're specifically concerned about Water Grounds you could also consider giga drain.

I am not worried about Electric coverage because Toxtricity can handle that. Dazzling Gleam is probably a good idea instead of Energy Ball.
