I bought it too, the dexfags are right. The balance is all out of whack because of the EXP Share, most of the new Pokémon feel uninspired. The game feels rushed and completely devoid of any meaningful post-game content. Once I'm done with the Battle Tower, I'll probably never touch this generation again.
